The new reports include Acquisition and User metrics including downloads of an app and new users of an app, Engagement metrics such as the retention of the app on a device or user and software crashes that can help improve app development which ultimately lead to the Outcome metrics for all of the marketing number crunching goodness that result after this latest release by Google Analytics. Outcome metrics are the closers such direct app sales and even sales through the use of an app. An app sale within an app sale – the mobile developers dream.
